Resident Evil 4 Movie
Paul W.S. Anderson has decided to make a fourth movie of the Resident Evil series. There is already a script wrote by Anderson. The film is currently being cast and the filming process should to start fall 2009. Milla Jovovich is set to act the role as zombie slayer Alice, though there's no formal deal has been signed yet.
The film will be titled Resident Evil Afterlife (Biohazard Afterlife in Japan) and it may expect a release for the second half of 2010.
Resident Evil 4 should be more in tune with RE2 in terms of style but with better dialogue and a darker tone. There's enough hand to hand combat in the script for them to bring in a martial arts choreographer (most likely for an Alice vs Wesker fight).
The story reportedly takes place in Tokyo in Japan and in Alaska (with Toronto standing in for Alaska, filming in Canada is indeed cheaper than in the USA...). Patrick Tatopoulos will return and be in charge of the creature effects while Michael Lantieri will be the new Special FX supervisor (in terms of the practical effects).
